Job Description

We’re urgently looking for a Project Manager to join our fast expanding consultancy practice, which is devoted to assisting our clients to overcome their information management challenges and unlock the capability of their data.

The role requires preferably over 2 years’ experience and should ideally come from a software solutions background, with some experience of data analytics projects. All applicants must have stakeholder management expertise and be highly adept at interfacing with the business and understanding the commercial objectives of their work. The candidate must be able to work on their own without supervision and be willing to travel to different customer sites. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt, where needed, to both technical and business people.
The successful candidate will have a practical, hands-on style, and demonstrate the ability and willingness to apply a flexible approach to the different challenges that each project will bring. Team building and team leadership skills will be essential.

Job Responsibilities

Ensuring the successful (on time & on budget) delivery of highly complex data warehousing and business analytics-based software solutions projects.

Duties

  • Managing the delivery of multiple business analytics projects.
  • Designing project delivery plans to align against contracted requirements.
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of projects with a range of methodologies.
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against agreed plans.
  • Liaising with technical colleagues and client project staff.
  • Managing and clearing issues logs.
  • Managing client expectations and controlling scope creep.
  • Chairing progress review meetings in iterative delivery.
  • Scheduling meetings, workshops, conference calls, training sessions.
  • Identifying and escalating issues/risks that threaten a significant impact.

Required and Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Project Management skills (Project Management qualification preferred, but not essential).
  • Prince 2 understanding/experience/qualification would be preferred.
  • Advanced User of MS Project.
  • Administratively strong, with good attention to detail.

Advanced Analytics Consultant (Predictive, AI, ML)

Job Description: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, curious and intelligent individual to join a fast-growing analytics consultancy.

We are one of the UK’s top software businesses. In this role you will help our customers go beyond the solid foundations of Business Intelligence and complex planning solutions, to employ data science techniques, machine learning, predictive modeling and other skills inherent to AI.

While some business or consultancy experience would be great, we are looking for someone who is intelligent, explorative and passionate about data to assist in the creation of scalable, efficient, automated processes; large scale data analysis; and model development & implementation.

  • Business Understanding – leading client workshops to capture requirements.
  • Data Understanding – data collection, data review, data quality.
  • Data Preparation – data selection, data transformation, data cleansing.
  • Modelling – Using IBM SPSS tools or similar to develop a suitable model.
  • Evaluation – comparing the models functionality and performance against the requirements.
  • Deployment – Supporting client go-live and any report requirements.
  • Support and diagnosis on existing SPSS installations
  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships.

Favoured Technical Skills:

  • Good experience in at least some of the following software tools: IBM SPSS, ‘R’ – programming language, Python, IBM Cognos BI, other Business Intelligence tools and Predictive Analytics products.
  • Database Understanding: e.g. Oracle, SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of ETL and data integration would be beneficial.

Purpose of Role

This is a senior, direct sales role responsible for developing relationships across many verticals both externally and through other Capita Divisions. Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales of complex business analytics solutions, ideally within Predictive Learning / Analytics / Machine Learning
  • Proven track record in software sales
  • Experience of big data highly desired
  • Experience of working in a large complex organisation, operating within a small and nimble team.

Education and Qualifications / skills and competencies

  • Demonstrated success winning complex software led sales
  • Demonstrated success of sales practices including account planning and execution

Systems Administrator
(Database & BI – Cognos Analytics)

We’re looking for a System Administrator to join our fast-growing analytics team. As our System Administrator you’ll be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of a business critical software solution that we supply as a service to a large number of clients.

In this role, you will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. You’ll also ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organisational values, including contracted terms and conditions, enabling customers to achieve maximum benefit from the solution/service.

The role requires, preferably, over 3 years’ relevant experience. You must also have significant stakeholder management expertise and be highly adept at interfacing with the business and understanding the commercial objectives of your work. As the successful candidate, you must be able to work without supervision and be willing to make occasional trips to different customer sites too. Furthermore, your communication skills will be top notch, allowing you to adapt, when needed, to both technical and business people.

The role sits within our fast expanding Social Media Analytics team, which is devoted to assisting our reputable, blue-chip clients across multiple sectors.
