To support the go-to market we are looking to appoint Sales Executives with Analytics sales experience.

Purpose of Role

This is a senior, direct sales role responsible for developing relationships across many verticals both externally and through other Capita Divisions. You’ll be selling Predictive Learning / Analytics to achieve new business sales, identifying opportunities for the full range of our offering, and pursuing them successfully to contract signature.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Run sales campaigns to identify and engage with Predictive Learning / Analytics (mainly IBM but also Microsoft and AWS) prospects to build relationships and demonstrate the value of our solution
  • Shape, qualify and win new opportunities to exceed sales targets
  • Drive the customer agenda and understand the customer direction, knowing the customer inside out, including significant customer face time
  • Develop a strong network of senior customer contacts to build business opportunities in the role of trusted advisor and be an expert in the field of analytics
  • Establish and successfully execute account plans for major prospects
  • Ensure adequate coverage of personal targets, with qualified opportunities and a high-quality approach to pipeline management
  • Work effectively with bid teams, marketing, operations and finance to develop and deliver market-leading bids, ensuring sales governance is adhered to
  • Ensure commercially sound business contracts
  • Own and run sales and marketing events to develop pipeline and business opportunities
  • Work with other Capita divisions to align sales strategy to benefit from existing relationships and sales activities
  • Support other, wider business sales and marketing initiatives as required.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales of complex business analytics solutions, ideally within Predictive Learning / Analytics / Machine Learning
  • Proven track record in software sales
  • Experience of big data highly desired
  • Experience of working in a large complex organisation, operating within a small and nimble team.

Education and Qualifications / skills and competencies

  • Demonstrated success winning complex software led sales
  • Demonstrated success of sales practices including account planning and execution
  • Proven success in working Major brand names to win new business
  • Ideally degree educated

  • Data Warehouse Solutions Architect experience. Designing, implementing and supporting Database solutions.

Job Description: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, curious and intelligent individual to join a fast-growing analytics consultancy.

Offering expertise in a wide range of data and analytics competencies – from creating complex planning solutions and automating BI reporting, to data warehousing and predictive analytics – our wide range of challenging opportunities continues to grow and we now need to add an Advanced Analytics Consultant to our team.

In this role you will help our customers go beyond the solid foundations of Business Intelligence and complex planning solutions, to employ data science techniques, machine learning, predictive modeling and other skills inherent to AI.

While some business or consultancy experience would be great, we are looking for someone who is intelligent, explorative and passionate about data to assist in the creation of scalable, efficient, automated processes; large scale data analysis; and model development & implementation.

Business Planning Consultant (IBM Cognos Controller)

Salary: £35,000 to £55,000 pa dependent on experience.

Job Description: We’re looking for a Business Planning Consultant. The role sits within our fast expanding consultancy practice which is devoted to assisting our customers, across multiple sectors, overcome their planning, consolidation, budgeting and forecasting challenges.

This role requires experience in Finance or Accountancy and the ability to learn quickly.  Ideally you will have a consulting background, although this is not essential. You must, however, have expertise in stakeholder management and be able to interface with the needs business of a variety of businesses and understand the commercial objectives of your work. You must be able to work without supervision and be willing to travel to different customer sites. You should also have fantastic communication skills and be able to adapt, where needed, to both technical and business people.

When not on a customer site, you will enjoy the flexibility of working from home – or from our city-centre offices in Edinburgh or London.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Capturing and understanding client business requirements.
  • Designing and implementing IBM Cognos Controller Solutions.
  • Producing solution design documentation.
  • Supporting sales colleagues with Cognos Controller demonstrations.
  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships.

Favoured Skills:

  • An accountancy background or qualification (CIMA)
  • Experience in IBM Cognos Controller beneficial
  • IBM Cognos TM1, including model building using Architect and Perspectives would be beneficial
  • Database Skills: Oracle, SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of ETL and data integration.
  • Good experience and understanding of Business Financial Processes, (Accountancy).
  • Ability to self-manage and work without direct supervision on customer sites.
  • Additional experience of Cognos Enterprise Planning would be helpful.
