We’ve been looking forward to the upcoming release of IBM’s Cognos Analytics, and this sneak peek at some of the new features are doing little to quell our excitement.

With talk of custom colour palettes (a feature we’ve long advocated), the ability to explore relationships in the data, and easy drag and drop data uploads, the major updates coming to Cognos Analytics are getting us quite worked up!

The recent releases of Cognos Analytics 11.0.9 to .12 have been functional updates, reacting to user RfE’s, with a sprinkling of UX dust… This upcoming release promises something different… And, we can’t wait!

Later this summer Cognos Analytics 11.1 will be the major new release.  Moving forward, it will be the supported version  with anticipated quarterly update releases (similar to the developments we’ve seen in 11.0).  So, if you’ve not upgraded to CA already, now might be the perfect time.

Over the past 2 years, we’ve been working closely with customers to help them explore Cognos Analytics and make the move from Cognos BI to the latest Analytics release. We can share our experiences, step you through what’s easy to migrate and what needs further consideration.

If you haven’t already, now is the time to re-explore the latest Cognos Analytics environment, remind yourself of the changes and improvements that have been introduced, and investigate what it would take for you to make the upgrade.

IBM has now ended its support for Cognos BI 10.2.x. But for those who need more time to plan the move to Cognos Analytics, we (as an IBM support providing partner) will continue to support our customers.

Our expert Cognos consultancy and support teams are ready to discuss your options further, to help you explore the new Cognos Analytics product, and decide with you the migration that best suits your needs and requirements. Contact us on support@barrachd.com to arrange a hassle-free consultation.

In the meantime, we can’t wait for this new release. However, we also can’t share any details until the new release has been officially revealed by IBM. But this short promo gives a titillating glimpse of what you might be able to expect in the near future!
