Background

While R7 introduced new features and functionality, Cognos Analytics R8 takes a different approach. There are, of course, some great new features – like the return of XML reports, the introduction of latitude/longitude support in mapping, dashboard auditing and support for Amazon Athena and Spark SQL – but the enhancements in 11.0.8 have been largely steered by the requests of users.

What we demo?

As well as an overview of Cognos Analytics R8, our live demo will focus on:

  • Latitude/Longitude support for reports.
  • Dataset metadata views
  • What’s new in dashboarding
  • Storyboarding enhancements
  • There will also be plenty time to answer any specific questions you have on Cognos Analytics.
